Rubymine 2.0.2 EAP expired Follow
Hi, I was enjoying the new version, it seemed slightly snappier and used slightly less memory that 2.0.1 (a noticeable difference on my laptop). Any news of when we'll get another RC or the release?

Hello Jeremy,
We're really sorry for the inconvenience, we didn't expect the RC process
to take as long as it did. Unfortunately it's not possible to enter a different
license key into the existing RC build. We'll release RC2 next week (on Monday
most likely).

any chance you could simply rebuild the existing version again to extend the timeout?

I've commited to the new EAP builds due to the rvm/bundler fixes, and now I'm left without a working environment for the weekend, got a lot to get done this weekend too
Hello Bruce,
It's easier for us to release a new RC build.

Plus 1 on the rebuilding it :-)
That's ok, you expect this sort of thing if you use EAP builds instead of the stable one.
I just changed my system clock. Now I have a few more days of usage!
(I only tested this in Linux.)
I've been using Rubymine since 1.0 and put up with (and reported) lots of bugs, written blog posts about how great it is, and generally been a cheerleader for you guys to quite a few people.
This is pretty bad and seem to be general carelessness. It's pretty hard to defend Rubymine's little faults here and there when it could also randomly stop working without notice.
Hello BJ,
While this is bad indeed, I just wanted to note that RubyMine didn't stop
working - the generally available 2.0.1 build does not have any expiration
date, and you're welcome to roll back to it. Expiration of pre-release and
preview builds is standard practice in the industry.

Nice!!!1eleven
Us RubyMine addicts can get back to work now
Yeah, I personally understand. Things happen and it was a preview release. I'm enjoying RubyMine and plan on buying at the end of my trial. Good luck getting the next RC out!
