Release announcements

Are they being posted somewhere? I'm reading this newsgroup dilligently,
but I didn't realize build #472 was released until it was mentioned by
someone else.

Also, I'd like to know the correspondence between RubyMine and Ruby
plugin releases (i.e., which version of the plugin each version of
RubyMine bundles).

Hello Marcus,

You can watch it at: http://www.jetbrains.net/confluence/display/RUBYDEV/RubyMine+EAP

Also, I'd like to know the correspondence between RubyMine and Ruby
plugin releases (i.e., which version of the plugin each version of
RubyMine bundles).

RubyMine doesn`t have Ruby plugin bubdled, but both Ruby plugin and RubyMine are made from the same codebase,
so set of features are very close regarding to pure Ruby and Rails applications. Ruby plugin for IntellIJ IDEA has JRuby dedicated features to develop your projects in both Java and Ruby.

Thanks,
Oleg

Hi Marcus!

Thanks for mentioning this. We have just posted the announcement about this build to RubyMine blog - http://blogs.jetbrains.com/ruby
In addition to the confluence page we'll be updating the blog once there is a new version available. You are welcome to subscribe to it.

Also, RubyMine itself should have notified you about the new build. Hasn't it?

Regards,
-Eugene

Thanks, Eugene! Blog posts should work as notifications -- as long as
it's something I can following on my RSS reader, it's great :)

I haven't been using RubyMine much lately, spending more time in IDEA
(+RubyPlugin) -- that's exactly why I want to know when a new release is
available, so I can give it a try again (and again and again)
