Use devappserver2 with Python/Google App Engine Plugin

So with the advent of the Google App Engine v1.7.5 SDK the devappserver2 development server is now available as an experimental feature.

I was wondering if there is a "low friction" way to "point" the "App Engine server" to the devappserver2 script?
