IDETalk without SSL/TLS?

Is there any way to use the IDETalk plugin without SSL and without TLS? Right now (IntelliJ 9.0.2) it appears you only have a choice between the two, but no way to use neither of them.
IDEtalk should work without any problems if your Jabber server doesn't support any SSL/TLS protocol. At least it was tested with plain Jabber servers (like jabberd).
OK, I suppose the problem is on our end. Out of curiosity, if I have a Jabber server without TLS and without SSL, what setting should I use at the IntelliJ 'Create Account' dialogue for the checkbox that only gives me the option of either TLS *or* SSL? Because, as I said, I have neither.
Hello Matthew,

My particular problem isn't with using existing accounts, it's with creating new accounts.
There shouln't be problems, either. At least for simple jabber server installations, which allow account creation.

It should work with TLS in this case. So you should not mark the checkbox.
