[Ann] SmarterEditor 0.1

Hi,
there's a new plugin called SmarterEditor available now. The URL is http://plugins.jetbrains.net/plugin/?idea&id=4657 . It's works with 8.x and 9.x. Currently it only supports Java and XML properly.

Basically it is a collection of editor actions which I run frequently. Having these actions available as a single step action with a keybinding saves typing time.
You can read the plugin page for more details.

Personally I think that the smart home, smart end and the "format favourite" actions will be especially useful.

Feel free to post feedback or your opinion about it.

Best regards,
Wallaby

please have a look at PMIP plugin
it's kind of framework for quickly adding new plugins to IDEA
you don't have to restart IDEA, you don't have to create settings page for your plugin
everyone who uses your PMIP extension could just comment/add a couple of lines then click reload button and voila, his own customized version
it is very convenient for small things like additional editor actions

so, my point is: it would be great if SmarterEditor is released as PMIP extension

Nice, I especially like and (use most) the "format favourite".

Any chance to have it available in JavaScript, too? I need it there even more than in Java, because IDEA tends to mess up the code if I reformat a complete file.
And, err, support for CSS files, would be nice, too.

And finally my favourite feature wish: An action to break a string in such a way that I can insert a middle part:

Format/Select Favourite is really useful, thanks

You can achieve this with a live template - map this template to '+' for
string contexts only:
" + $INSERT$ + "$END$

then inside a string you can type + and then space and voila!

I've had this installed as long as I can remember...
