Mks Plugin : any volunteers for beta testing upcoming 0.7 ?

Hi,

I'd like to finally release next version of the Mks Plugin.
Here are the main features
- better support for multiple pj files per folder (eg, when sharing subprojects)
- integration with IDEA "view history" features (view member revisions, compare revisions ...)
- partial support for viewing MKS change packages as IDEA changelists. Moving entries from one changelist to another one is not supported yet though

As i can only test against the current MKS version i have (2005 currently) and against our mks configuration, i'd be interested for more testers :) especially people that don't use changepackages.

Hi Thibaut,

it looks like my project will be stuck with an older MKS version (Source Integrity EE 8.6) for another few months, so it might be interesting how the new version of the plugin behaves in my surroundings. So, I would volunteer to beta test. (We do use CPs, however.)

Best regards,
Jens

Cool, testing with an older version is important too.
I've been using 8.6 for a long time before we switched to 2005 here, so it should still be working fine with 8.6.

Please replace /config/plugins/mks-idea/mks-idea-0.6.jar with the attached one.

And feel free to report any bugs on http://code.google.com/p/ideamksplugin/issues

i have downloaded the beta and it worked quite well on a first glace, i testet checkout, checkin, history. is seems much faster than the old snapshot, especially the "warmup time" is gone.

i noticed 2 bugs at a first clance:
1)some files are shown as "brown" as if it was not checked in, although i synced them via mks client minutes before. those files are just regular files, no different from others.

2) moving of files does not work.

there are certainly more issues, will post more later.

for 1/ can you confirm that those files are appearing under the "unversioned files" node in the Changes tab ?

for 2/ AFAIK , MKS does not support moving files before MKS 2006, even though it should be possible to rename them (aka moving them in the same directory). Anyway this feature is indeed not supported by the plugin (yet)

Great, then you can start enabling the plugin for Diana right after that ;)

Best regards,
Jens

P.S.: I am extremely happy with MKS plugin version 0.7; no major problems since I upgraded a few weeks ago. Good job!
Hope you have a great vacation.
