[ANN] Osmorc 0.1 : OSGI support for IDEA

Osmorc is a plugin that enables the development of OSGI based applications in IDEA.
This first release is somehow a proof of concept that development of OSGI applications in IDEA is possible, but it will grow as the time goes by and the big vision is support for Eclipse RCP development.

Please also visit the home page of this plugin ( http://osmorc.beeger.net/ ) where more information will be posted during the next days.
JIRA on jetbrains.net ( http://jetbrains.net/jira/browse/OSMORC ) contains a project "Osmorc" where bug reports and feature requests can be posted.

Cheers,
Robert

Sounds great.

What type of reference implementation of the OSGi will be supported?
Knoplerfish too?

Hi,

In the end Osmorc will support Knopflerfish, Felix and of course Equinox, but the near time future will bring support for basics like the definition of a target platform and version recognition which is independent of any specific implementation. Only after the basics are in place support for running OSGI applications from IDEA and support for implementation specific features will be added.
Please open JIRA issues for any features you would like to see in Osmorc ( http://jetbrains.net/jira/browse/OSMORC ).

Cheers,
Robert

Of course i will, thanks! :)

I'm working using Eclipse for developing Knoplerfish plugins. I can not describe the Eclipse without having to break political correctness. :)
What a surprise to see a plugin for IDEA.
I'm really happy.
