Lineage provides two easy ways to subclass any non final class: an intention and an entry in the project pane context menu. Subclasses can also be created as an inner class with user specified visibility using the provided "Extend Classes and Interfaces with Inner" intention.
Lineage also extends Highlight Usages in File (CtrlShiftF7): Invoke on an import keyword to see which references use the import statement.
