I'm still getting this spam - 3-4 comments every day - surely I'm not the only plugin dev stupid enough to put there email address against a plugin?

Hmm, I've never gotten any spam from the plugin site. Has your plugin's URL been published in some odd place?

No Mark, you're not the only "stupid" plugin developer who did this. I too receive a few spam mails a day using the e-mail put against an IDEA plugin I published. And I am 100% sure I published that e-mail only once and it was a few months ago on the IDEA plugin manager (I don't even use it now).

I guess the best-while-simplest way to prevent this in the future would be to have the plugin dev emails with the "@" and "." signs replaced by the words " at " and " dot ", or with a weird string like "@REMOVE@THIS@" inserted in the middle of the email when printed in the IDEA plugin manager Web site. So that human plugin users could still send emails to plugin devs, while most email scanning bots would be defeated.

What do you think?

Not the URL for the IntelliJ plugin site no...

The email is originating FROM jetbrains:

You receive a mail when someone posts a comment on your plugin page: http://plugins.intellij.net/plugin/?id=648
There's a lot of spam on yours. Another victory for anonymous posting:-/
