unitTest vs JUnitGenerator vs Testdox IDEA Plugin?
Hi,
Can one please explain me what plug-in is supposed to be used from the above for a smooth JUnit work?
Also, why must be so many plug-ins that overlap to a great degree (like in the case of Struts, but
there at lease there's an overview table to compare them).
Thanks in advance,
Ahmed.

Hi Ahmed,
How can you say that these "plug-ins overlap to a great degree" if you are unsure of their respective features?
As co-author of the TestDox IDEA plug-in, I would like to know how you work with JUnit and what exactly you mean by "smooth JUnit work".
For now, rather than providing you with a comparison of the above plug-in's, I can point you to the documentation of one of them: http://docs.beanlab.org/display/TESTDOXIDEA/Home
Hope this helps!

Franck
Franck,
that was not very helpful :(.
Because from simple trials and reading all the available documentation I got this impression.
I wanted a comparison from other users that used them more time than me, so maybe they found the
features/tips/conflicts/etc. that are not evident, since none of the plug-ins extends the IntelliJ
Help System.
Smooth is the IntelliJ way, something that may plug-ins simply forget, and even if made for IntelliJ,
they feel like made for Eclipse :). Smooth is the entire theory the IDE/plugi-in of not
getting in my way, plus the intelligence required to "test with pleasure" the same as one already
"develops with pleasure"
And exactly this is what I'm interested in.
For Struts there's such a comparison page made by the different plug-in authors, and IMHO it helps
allot.
Thank you, but that was the first thing I studied (even before trying the plug-in) :) .
Thanks in advance,
Ahmed.
Ahmed,
That is exactly how I felt about the various struts plugins when I was trying to evaluate them. Yann was kind enough to take on the task of creating the page when I asked.
Since Franck didn't volunteer to create the comparison page, create one yourself. Even if you don't have all the answers, you at least have some of the questions. Create a table with the features/categories that you are interested in and then post the URL of the page to this forum asking for people to update it.
I bet that either the authors or users of the various junit related plugins would be willing to fill in what they know.
