[ANN] PluginUploader plugin

Hi

I've uploaded a little plugin called 'Plugin Uploader' that allows to upload new versions of an existing plugin from within IDEA and without having to go through the web site.

Maybe helpful to other plugin developers as well...

Cool!

But having commons-httpclient-3.0.jar and depended commons-*.jar files is make little plugin is very little BIG plugin (300KB) :)

To make post over HTTP you can simple use URLConnection, i guess.

And another one. This plugin come to be BIG, then new plugin repository come to work.

Thanks!

Nice !

My wishlist: integrate in Devkit-Module context menu, like "Prepare plugin for deployment" and choose jar/zip automatically

Etienne,

Does the plugin communicates with respect to the proxy settings ? I've a HostNameNotFound error, although I can load the existing plugins list without any problem...

Hi Yann

Thanks for your feedback and sorry for my late response.

1) The zip/jar is now chosen automatically if the persisted path doesn't point to an existing file. Additionally, the path is now persisted on a per-module base instead of a per-project base.

2) Integration in the Devkit-Module context menu will be possible once IDEA fixes the issue with adding plugin actions relative to other plugins' actions (should get fixed for 5.1).

Uploaded version 1.0.2

Hi Gilles

Thanks for your feedback. I just uploaded a new version of the Plugin Uploader plugin that supports proxy settings (I did not have the possibility to test proxy user authentication, yet).

Plugin Uploader 1.0.3

Btw, the new plugin version has been uploaded by the Plugin Uploader itself through a non-authenticating proxy

Hi Etienne,

I'll try it next time when I release a new version of JavadocWriter !
