[ANN] TabStack 1.0

Hello,

I posted new trinket plugin - TabStack. This plugin collect files, that closed as ejected then Tab Limit is reached. Plugin will put files back as soon as free space available. May be useful then you browsing classes and open more temporary files, then you need to get back Your classes, closed by Idea.

Plugin available from Plugin manager since 4109 build.

Enjoy! :)

Thanks,

Idea was suggested for EditorTree plugin by Dmitry Kashin indeed. I'm just implemented it as separate trinket :)

Hi Maxim,

So nice that would be good candidate to add it to core of IDEA and place settings to IDE Settings->Editor->Appearance
:)

Thanks,
Dmitry

Hi Alexey,

Seems like a nice idea and I've been trying the plugin too, but I think I
may have found a bit of a bug. Whenever I have two instances of IDEA open
closing a tab in the second instance will now force the first IDEA project
to the front - which gets pretty confusing. I think this is down to TabStack?
or maybe its not playing nice with the TabReordering plugin?

Thanks!
I'll check it. It can be TabStack bug.

Hi Alexey,

TabStack doesn't seem to play well with editor pane splitting and tab groups. If I move a
tab from one tab group to another it gets reopened in the one I just tried to move it out
of. This also occurs if I have the tab in both tab groups and then try to delete it from
the original one.

One more thing, It would be quite nice if there was an easy visual way to see which tabs
were popped off the tab stack and pushed back into the tab group. Perhaps a different
background color or something.

TabStack is a great idea however. I'm glad you took the time to create it.

Thanks,

Tim

I think I have found a bug. If you have your screen split and you close
a tab (shift-click), the tab is immediately re-opened.

If 2 tabs open on left and one on right, closing a tab on the left will
cause the tab to be reopened. If closing the only tab on the left, that
works correctly.

Yes, my bad. Just forgot about split at all.
Try to fix this spot.
