Jira browser: Changing issue status

Hello,
I don't know if it's the correct newsgroup to send this problem, I
already sent this mail to the Jira user list.

We are using Jira Standard Edition Version 3.2.2-#90, IntelliJ IDEA
4.5.4-#2253 and the Jira-IDEA plugin is at version 0.1.4.22.
The Jira SOAP interface works fine since we were able to run
successfully the SOAP tutorial.
The plugin works fine for commenting the issues.
Nevertheless the "Work on issue", "Resolve issue" contextual actions do
not work. The former produces an exception :
java.lang.NullPointerException

com.atlassian.jira.web.action.workflow.WorkflowUIDispatcher.doExecute(WorkflowUIDispatcher.java:41)

com.atlassian.jira.web.filters.SitemeshExcludePathFilter.doFilter(SitemeshExcludePathFilter.java:38)
....
in the atlassian-jira./yyy-MM-dd/.log file
and the latter action do nothing.

I also tried the Idea Jira plugin (0.1.7.4) with Idea 5.0.1-#3461 (which
is not the "official" used release in our organisation yet) and the
"Resolve issue" action worked fine. Unfortunately I've got the same
exception with the "Work on issue".

Has anyone faced and resolved this problem?

thanks a lot
best regards

Hiya - I'd posted to the Atlassian list but havn't been much active here....

The problem is that all the changing issue/commenting/resolution code
that the plugin is doing is a big evil HTTP POST hack.

This is due to me only having Jira 2.6.x whose SOAP/XMLRPC API didn't
provide anything further.

The hack method is obviously broken now :( I've recently started work
on the plugin again outside of the Atlassian install, I don't actually
use the newer versions of JIRA ( unfortunately ).
