TortoiseCVS not playing well with IntelliJ......

Well I tried upgrading to a newer version of TortoiseCVS, but now IntelliJ doesn't seem to work any more. CVS in IntelliJ worked fine when I was using 1.6.14. I wanted to move to a new version, but it seems when I moved up it stopped IntelliJ working. Yesterday I moved to 1.8.1 of TortoiseCVS, and it seemed to have some problems, so I went back to 1.8.0. I still have the same problems in IntelliJ. When I use CVS in IntelliJ now, it just sits there and says "1k sent" It never budges and I have not found a command that doesn't hang IntelliJ. And the cancel doesn't work when this happens either so I have to kill the idea.exe process to get it to shut down.

Anyone have a solution?

I am using
IntelliJ 4.5.2
TortoiseCVS 1.8.0 -- (CVSNT) 2.0.51d
Using a local repository that is on a network drive
TortoiseCVS works fine when used on it's own.

Hi Lyle,

Sorry, I cannot help you directly with the problem, but ...

Using a local repository that is on a network drive

... NEVER do this unless you want a corrupt repository. See
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/info-cvs/2003-10/msg00006.html or
http://www.devguy.com/fp/cfgmgmt/cvs/cvs_admin_nt.htm (search for "Which
protocol should I use?") for more information.

Trust me if I had a choice I wouldn't be doing this, but that is what I came into when I took this job :(. We are planning on moving soon, but for the next couple weeks we will have to keep running on a network drive.

Thanks for this info though, it will help my case for moving quickly.
