How to resize components

Hello jostster,

The size of the components is determined by the layout manager. See the minimum
size, preferred size and maximum size properties.

There's no way to resize the components directly.

How do you resize components in the UI Designer?

I want certain things to take up more space than others but once i'm
done dragging the handles and let go of the mouse button the size of
the component returns to what it was before.

Yes I can reduce the size by putting in spacers but then I want other
elements to take up that space and the spacer prevents that.
