Is it possible to specify index directory per project, invalidate caches per project?

Hi,

As of now Intellij stores caches/index under system/index, system/caches directory. This contains information for all the projects opened by intellij. Is it possible to specify index directory per project?
Is there a way to invalidate caches per project instead of all projects?
