[ANN] Describe Key 0.1

Describe Key is a little plugin that allows you to easily find out
what a key or shortcut does. It is named after emacs' describe-key
function.

It is very similar to the "Add Keyboard Shortcut" dialog from
the Keymap editor except that you can invoke it very easily
by CtrlAltK (by default, or from Tools->Describe Key...)

For 4.0 or 4.1, available from the plugin manager.

Comments are welcome!

Vince.

It could be nice if it implemented what someone asked to the tracker some days ago: when pressing, for example, ctrl and keeping it pressed, it could show all shortcuts that are currently defined in association to ctrl, and describe them.

Small problem - pressing F10 on Windows activates the window menu, and
unless you press Escape it seems that the dialog is frozen (no other key
presses change it).

Hmm good idea, I'll look into that one.

Thanks,

Vince.

Actually I have a somewhat similar behavior but some
other keys do get out of the weird frozen state.

For example:
- in normal times, F10 brings the File menu and from there
'N' brings up the "New Project" dialog.
- when Describe Key is up, F10 'freezes' the dialog, N
seems to unfreeze it, and after that it's working again.

and:
- in normal times, F10 brings the menu, F1 does nothing at
that point
- with Describe Key, F10 'freezes' and F1 does nothing, but
'N' again will unfreeze it.

It seems as if somehow the menu was still trying to process
the keys.

It seems that the 1st key after F10 doesn't update the dialog, and then
everything goes back to normal.
