I've now done my own solution to have whitespace on demand. It might be a good idea to consider to enhance the API to enable whitespace on demand (like with comments). Otherwise languages like Bash are hard to parse.
E.g. "a= a" (empty assignment and command) would be seen as "a=a" (assignment to a) with whitespaces automatically removed. And always managing my own whitespace is a bit too much :)
