IG "Visibility issues -- Local variable hides member variable"

In IDE Errors, I have set "Local variable hides member variable" to show as
"As errors."

I was expecting that I would see a red 'tick' mark in the right hand gutter
for this, but I don't.

If I right click on the file and select "Inspect code ....", then I see this
flagged in the Inspection tool window.

Is there someway to get this to show dynamically in the editor instead of
just in the Inspection Results window?

Another related question, after having configured inspections in IDE Errors
(specifying which inspections to show and which not to show), I would have
expected that doing a right-click on a file and selecting "Inspect code ..."
from the popup would let me run the same inspections. Instead, all of the IG
inspections are listed in the dialog that pops up, but there seems no way to
tell the dialog to use the set of inspections as configured in the 'IDE
Errors' settings.

Am I missing something?

Thanks for your help,

Ted Hill

Upgrading from 1178 to 1179 has solved the problem of the inspection not
showing up dynamically.

The second part of my question still remains: is there some way to use the
settings configured at IDE | Errors to do a 'batch' inspection?

Thanks,

Nope. I believe there is an open Tracker item for such a feature, which you might wish to search and vote for.
