LogTailer plugin

Does anyone know what's up with the LogTailer plugin?

From the description it looks like a great plug-in to add, but it hasn't been updated in a long time (over a year) and I saw a message here indicating that the plugin was broken in 4.0. I tried emailing the author for an update, but have received no response, and his last message on the forums indicated he was going to put out a new version in a couple days--a deadline that has since long been passed by over a year. Any info on updates or alternatives would be appreciated.

Log4jMonitor is a similar plugin but seems to only handle log4j logs, something I am not looking for.

Thanks,

As far as I remember the only problem with it was the name of an icon (which
JetBrains changed at some point). It tries to use nodes/textFile.png, which
is not in IDEA's icons.jar anymore.

I've been using version 1.0 (I just added an image file in its jar) all
along without any problems. I can send it to you if you want.

I'd appreciate that.

Is version 1.0 just your numbering or is there somewhere out there other then the IntelliJ community to download this plugin?

The version 0.06 of the plugin looked to be doing something I was really interested in, filtering lines by text or regular expression, and that's one of the other reasons I was really hoping to find an update.

After checking the change log on the wiki page it seems I have the latest
version. IDEA's plugin manager reports it as 1.0, but that might be caused
by incompatible numbering schemes.

So you can either give me an email address to send it to or change the
version taken from the wiki site yourself (by puting a nodes/textFile.png
image in the plugin jar).

It is an excellent plugin - the most usefull of all plugins.
I have used it in every build.

I can confirm all you need to do is add the nodes/textFile.png (attached) into the icons.jar file in the Intellij lib directory (can simply use winzip if on Windows platform)

Note: the attached file must be added in the jar file to the "nodes" directory

in fact, I have attached icons.jar (made from build 1151) with the textFile.png included

Well, you don't need to change IDEA's icons.jar file. You can put the image
file in the plugin's jar (with the same path), thus saving you the trouble
of doing this every time you reinstall IDEA and the possible license
violation (don't quote me on this, I haven't checked :) caused by changing
IDEA files.

(Not sure if adding things to a jar would qualify as a license violation,
but you never know...)

adding it to the logtailer.jar file worked. I've attached a copy of the resulting jar...
