ToolbarManager 1.1.1 - Setting Icons tools?

Hi,

I have some external tools set up in Idea and I have used the ToolbarManager
plugin to display buttons for those in the toolbar. The only problem is that
the default icon chosen by the ToolbarManager for tools with no icon
(external tools) is a red target icon. It would be really nice if I could
set icons for tools with no icon so that when there are lots of them on the
toolbar it is possible to tell them apart?

I don't know if it is possible to add icons to external tools and if so they
might then show up in the ToolbarManager? If not this would be a nice
feature - either for Intellij to add to Idea's external tools feature or for
Chris Bartley to add to his ToolbarManager?

Thanks
Scott

Support for custom icons in the ToolbarManager is something I've always wanted to add (see the To Do list on the plugin's page), but chaos keeps getting in the way.

The source code is available on the plugin's page if this is something you'd like to add yourself.

out of curiosity, what external tools do you use from within Idea?

Nothing special. Just .cmd and .bat files at the moment. I set them up as
external tools and it gives quick access to them from within Idea. Saves me
using desktop shortcuts or browsing to the relevant folders to run them.

In my current project I have both startWeblogic.cmd and stopWeblogic.cmd
external tools set up and when I add buttons for both of these to the
Toolbar using this plugin the icon is the same for each. This can be a pain
sometimes.

IntelliJ is almost my OS...

We are developing a web application that talks with another web application.

I have tools (and keyboard shortcuts) to show the main and secondary web
apps in IE, Netscape and Mozilla, run the secondary one, open browsers, show
file in Explorer.

btw, I have set keyboard shortcuts and I don't really use the menus or
toolbar, but it would be nice to do so sometimes (I had to resort to 2 step
keyboard shortcuts).

Didn't work. I see nothing happen, and this in the output window :

External tool 'Explore' completed with exit code 1
