VCS plugins - how to display changes.

Hello,

There is a ClearCase plugin that used to highlight the changes made to files by green/blue bars on the left.

In IDEA 5.x, bars used to indicate changes against the original version in the repository (a VOB in ClearCase language), whenever file is saved or not.

In 6.0.2, changes are displayed, but only against last saved version.

Is there a way to fix the old behavior? Sources for ClearCase plugin are available - I made them compile under 6107 IntelliJ SDK.

Which part of OpenAPI is responsible for displaying of changes made to file?

Regards,
Staszek

The ChangeProvider interface returns Change objects, and the content returned
from change.getBeforeRevision() is compared with the current file content
to generate the change markers.

Note that the ClearCase plugin is now developed by JetBrains, so the next
release of IDEA will contain a fully functional and supported version of
the plugin.

This is great. Are there any forecasts on when will it be available? Is there any beta version of the plugin available, by chance?

Hello Staszek,

SS> This is great. Are there any forecasts on when will it be available?

The EAP for the next version of IntelliJ IDEA will start in a few weeks.

SS> Is there any beta version of the plugin available, by chance?

Right now there isn't any. It will most likely be included in the initial
EAP release.

Does that mean TeamCity is going to support ClearCase as well?

ClearCase support is planned for TeamCity as well. However, the architecture
of version control support plugins for IntelliJ IDEA and TeamCity is completely
different so these are not really related issues.
