[ANN] RemoteCopier 1.0 NEW

And one more plugin : RemoteCopier
(http://www.intellij.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/RemoteCopier)

This plugin allows you to copy files you are working on to predefined
locations.

You just have to specify where your files should be copied in you project
settings (using included/excluded paths configuration), and you will be able
to invoke the RemoteCopy actions on any files selection (from project view
pane or from editors). Note that if you select a java source file, you will
copy its class file(s).

PS : if someone can tell me why my plugin doesn't fit properly in the
plugins home page... (sorry, it's my first experience with Twiki)

Hoping it will save time to some of you,
Sylvain FRANCOIS

What does this plugin provide that can't be accomplished with Ant ?

Your're right, I should have insisted on this point in my presentation.

Well, I think (and fortunately I'm not the only one) my plugin is more
adapted in some cases, mainly for 2 reasons :

1 - since it just implements a copy action, it's quicker than an Ant
invocation. Quite appreciable for small but repeated copies...
2 - an Ant file is interesting when you need to repeat copies of files
sharing same properties (source paths, date, ...). But sometimes, you want
to choose manually some files along them, without having to launch the whole
copy. For example, if you modify a java class and a JSP and want to test
them on your server, you only need to copy these 2 files. RemoteCopier
allows you that : just invoke the RemoteCopy action from the both editors
and your files will be copied. If you have modified several classes and JSP,
just select them in the project view pane, or invoke the RemoteCopyForAll
action if all are opened in your editor. You may say that Ant can copy newer
files only : ok but sometimes, you don't want to copy all modified files but
just those you are working on...

If you still don't find any interest to this plugin, please tell me how you
proceed !

Thanks

Sylvain FRANCOIS
