VCS plugin and 'subst'-ed drives

I am trying to use IDEA with substed drives on windows. Everything seems
fine till I enable the Local VCS and VCS plugin. The idea does not seem to
know when the files have added/changed etc. Has anyone successfully used VCS
integration with substed drives. Is there anything that I should take care
of ?

Thanks,
-Dash.

Hi,

LVCS uses the same file synchronization mechanism as other IDEA subsystems.
If you've turned it off on frame activation, LVCS won't see any external
changes until you call Synchronize manually.

I did have a strange behavior:
I have build 676 on my Win2k desktop and laptop.
On the laptop, the VCS is behaving strangely:
file modifications are "forgotten" (color is lost)
when project is closed and reopened, and file stays
colored after check-in. But since I rarely use the laptop
I'm not too worried.
