CVS root uername

Hi All,

1.) I am new to CVS. I am trying to run CVS commands on different clients machines with valid user names in CVS root, but Idea is showing me only same user on the other clients machine also.

2.) In team of mutiple developer, each developer should have his own project on his machine or only single project of server can be used, while using CVS ?

Do you mean IDEA 4.0 cvs integration or 3.0 integration or cvs client?
>but Idea is showing me only same user on the other clients machine also
What did you mean? Where does IDEA show you user name?
>each developer should have his own project on his machine or only single
project of server can be used, while using CVS
IDEA stores cvs settings in the workspace (.iws) file so cvs does nothing
with the project file and you can use project (.ipr) file as usual

Hi,
Thanks for reply here is the scenario,

1) I am using Idea 4.0.1 the latest version.
2) I am using the password server method to connect to CVS. When I run any command it shows me same user who has first imported the source in repository. While looking history, author is user1, though comments are made by user2. While checkout popup shows :pserver:user1@..... though the account is of user2.
(user1 from and user2 are different NT accounts).

Thanks in advance
