Hookups to message window

Does OpenAPI expose message window? I want to write a plugin to color code
the log output in the message window. See following feature request.

Simple coloring of the logs in message window will help reading and
digesting log messages easily and quickly. For example can be
colored with gray, with yellow and with red. Better if
coloring can be configured using regexp. Somthing on the line of JLogTailer
.

If not, Open API should expose message window so that people can write
plugin.
