Color deficiency options feedback

Answered

First of all, hats off to you guys for doing this! I have difficulty discerning the various colors that can appear on the scrollbar and I'm optimistic about things being better with Idea 15.  For my first bit of feedback, I'd would like to request a way to help people determine which adjustment they need (red vs green).  The common term is "red/green colorblind" so it's hard to choose one vs the other sight unseen.  From what I have been been able to determine, distinguishing Protanopia vs Deuteranopia is not trivial, so it's not like you can just take a quick internet test. It would be awesome if there was a preview showing the adjustments that get made with each setting.  Even just showing a group of colors so people could ensure they can distinguish between them would help to make the right choice I think.

Great suggestion! I have the same problems (well ... red-green color weakness, not blindness), but I simply do not remember which specific kind of color weakness I have (red or green). The diagnostic was quite some years ago...

There's actually a great color correction plugin for Chrome called Vision:https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/vision/ofdemndiibjjpjkmlcefokcmoiilning

The difference for me is literally mind-blowing. But as a first step, it has you configure the corrections based on a color chart. I'm finding that the difference in the default theme for PHPStorm is pretty lacking. Or maybe just too subtle. But it's no comparison to Vision.

Hi guys. If you have tried the Color-Deficiency Adjustment in IDE and you find any lacking feature or have an idea how it could be improved you suggestions at https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issues/IDEA are very welcomed! Thanks!
