Idea 15 Color Schema changes

Hi,

It's a matter of taste of course so please take no offence :-) but the new blue background buttons, check boxes etc. are unplesant, over emphasizing often making a screen too busy and in some cases (check boxes) hard to read.

Normallyy I would not comment on such a trivial and subjective thing but it irritates me for some reason :-)

Thanks
Alex

Fully concur.

In addition, I find the fat blue outline around the focused control very distracting. Few times I found myself squinting and straining my eyes, because it looks like the outlines of the control are blurred and I was reflexively trying to bring them in focus.

Showing active components and the focus is a good thing, but there must be a more subtle way.

Guys,
thank you for the feedback. We're working on improoving the IntelliJ LaF in IJ 15. New elements look a bit darker and not so acid.

Hi Konstantin,

the screen shot does not seem to be any different from build 142.3050.1 I have. If you want my personal opinion, dark background buttons, check boxes etc are problemati. You will be forced to make them rather dark to have white to stand out and making BG dark makes them very heavy, screens busy, distinction between white (enabled) and gray (disabled) not sufficiently obvious etc. Basically I prefer light BG button on the shot below better. and the more darl blue elements on a form the harder to see the content (text) on it in my opinion

Just my 2c
