Wonky Ubuntu 14.04 Behavior?

Has anyone else observed wonky behavior when running under Ubuntu 14.04?

I upgraded from the previous LTS release, 12.04, and I've been continually using the OpenJDK build that has pretty fonts from https://launchpad.net/~no1wantdthisname/+archive/openjdk-fontfix

Under 14.04, after tackling the annoying iBus stuff that prevented keystrokes from working, when I use my hotkey to pop up the "select target" window and then immediately hit 'Enter' for 'Project View', the panel appears and hides immediately. But if I do the hotkey for "select target", then hit the right arrow to expand the 'Project View' menu and hit enter (which does the exact same thing), the panel sticks around.

Sometimes when doing the hotkey for navigation to symbol, rather than the popup appearing in the middle of the window, it appears funny looking in the upper-left corner.

Sometimes when doing a refactoring that pops up a dialog (like adding a parameter), the window outline appears, but is completely transparent! Hitting escape to dismiss and then re-trying usually works.

I don't really have a way to reliably reproduce these unfortunately, they just occur over the course of day while using IDEA.

And trying the Oracle JVM is painful now since I'm too comfortable with how the fonts appear with the OpenJDK build - I'd rather put up with these annoyances than stare at ugly fonts!

I guess I just wanted to see if anyone else has observed behavior like this, and perhaps wondering if anyone that works @ JetBrains runs Ubuntu 14.04 and might have noticed some of this.
