Excluding ivy dependencies from artifacts

Is there a way to extract unwanted jars from the IvyIDEA module libaray from the artifacts output pane? When I build my artifact I would ike to exclude certain jars.
I realize I could create an ant task to build the war without the jars, but I was wondering if I could do this from the Artifacts pane too.

My initail thought was using "extract" from the context menu (see screen shot), but unless I am using it incorrctly this doesn't seem to do what I expected.
