Adobe ADL freezing on simple errors

Hi, I'm currently evaulating IntelliJ IDEA for Adobe AIR development and have noticed the ADL simulator consistently crashes when an actionscript error occurs. The type of errors would be casued by  trying to load an incorrectly referenced external file for example.. I know this may not be inherintly a problem with IntelliJ IDEA however I can run identical code in Flash Builder 4.6 and 4.7 without ADL freezing, so I'm just interested if anyone else has run into a similar issue?

Cheers

Anyone at jetbrains have any input on this? Having a crash on ADL whenever I have an actionscript error is something that will certainly stop me from purchasing considering I dont get the error with the identical code in FB4.7

Thanks

This is not a known problem. Is it possible to attach a sample project and provide steps to reproduce?

Project attached. You will note in the loadAssets method in Init.as I am trying to load data from a path 'assets/datax' which will fail as the correct path is 'assets/data'. The simulator hangs after the console spits out the error message:

[Fault] exception, information=TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.

I am on a 2015 Retina Macbook pro (latest model with Yosemite 10.10.3

Any help would be great.

J

I was attempting to close the ADL window directly, I have resolved the issue by stopping the debugger when an AS3 error occurs instead.
