Background color of editor tabs

Can I customize the editor tab's background color somehow?

In IDEA X it seems that classes from libraries are getting a light background, very similar
(on my notebook's LCD) to the active tab.

To me that's very disorienting. I just can't quickly find the tab for the active file - see attached screenshot.

I really don't see the logic in that either. IMHO stuff from libraries should be subdued rather than highlighted.

I agree, the default tab color scheme is far from optimal.

Hello Stephen,

You can customize the colors in Settings | File Colors.

Hello !

Same problem here with IntelliJ 2016 with Darcula Theme.

The real problem is color difference between selected and NOT selected tab is not enough (may be because Mac Screen you're using to design EDI are far more efficent than the screen we have at work)... and there's no way to change it.

If you choose different colors for tabs (using scopes for exemple) you'll have the same problem with the new color (perhaps a bit less sensitive depending on your sight & screen)

Anyway it's really anoying :-((
