Vim search in right group automatically opens file in left group

Hi -

I'm using Idea 14.1.1 with IdeaVim 0.39. A couple of days ago, something unexpected starting happening:

I usually have two editor groups open, side-by-side, so that I can view two source files at once. For the last couple of days, when I do a vim text search in the right group (using "/"), IJ automatically opens the file in the left group (if it's not open there already), and does the search in the file in the left group - i.e., it positions my cursor at the search string in the left group, jumping away from the right group.

No doubt I did something to enable this behavior, but I have no idea what, or how to undo it. I tried upgrading idea (I was on 14.0.4 when it started happening), and uninstalling/re-installing IdeaVIM. no luck.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark

BTW, if I split horizontally instead of vertically, the same thing happens if I search for text in a window on the bottom (the same file is automatically opened on the top).

Also, I forgot to mention that this doesn't happen in the opposite direction - if I search in the left/top window, the file isn't automatically opened in the right/bottom half of the screen.

It looks like VIM-210 that has been fixed in the master branch, but hasn't been released yet. You can try continuous integration builds of master, but be aware that they may be unstable. See https://github.com/JetBrains/ideavim for more details.

Andrey:

Thanks for that information! I've been able to work around it, so I'll wait for it to appear in a release.
