Try to add path to the folder where your SWF file is located to the local-trusted sandbox.Edit file [user home]/.macromedia/Flash_Player/#Security/FlashPlayerTrust and add one line with path to your folder with SWF.

I can try to check project configuration if you attach a sample project and steps to reproduce.

Flash Builder doesn't work on Linux, does it?

I didn't check your source code but overall project configuration looks fine. May be some compiler option is missing that is added by FB automatically. In the compiler help I found only one related to network: -use-network, you can add it to the Additional compiler options field in the Compiler Options tab of your build configuration settings.

To know how FB compiles your project you can add -dump-config=foo.xml to its additional compiler options

No. FB does not work on Linux, I have to use a VM to use. i will try your last answer and came back here to give a feedback.

IDE works the same on all OSes. But Flex SDK including compiler, Flash Player and other tools may behave differently. As you know full development cycle can be done without IDE: write code in any text editor and compile using command line tool. So unlikely it is IDE that makes your app not working on Linux.
