LnF will solve some usability/looking problems? I doubt it.

Looks like it is part of NetBeans 7.0M7 for Solaris .. let's see if it is possible to extract it from there :)

There is a Plugin for IntelliJ "SkinLFPlugin" to change the Look and Feel of IntelliJ.
Is there a downloadable Package for this skin it would be possible to use it with this plugin.

Description of SkinLFPlugin:
SkinLFPlugin loads and keeps list of available skinLF themespack (see www.l2fprod.com and www.javootoo.com)

This looks like yet another Aqua ripoff to me, with a few elements changed to avoid whinning from Apple.

Edit: But a good ripoff nonetheless.

That plugin can only be used to install SKinLF themes.

The first problem will be to get a jar of Nimbus look and feel. AFAIK it's a work in progress. So the jar is probably not yet available.

For any look and feel for which you have the jar for, take the following procedure:
1. Copy the jar into IDEA's lib directory.
2. Create a file swing.properties in IDEA's jre\jre\lib folder that looks like

Here the additional look and feel is Squareness Look And Feel, but you can replace it with any other look and feel.
For the Mac and Linux folks: Since IDEA doesn't include a JRE for those platforms you'll have to create the file in the jre IDEA uses to run.
