Older tasks disappear from the dropdown-box

Hello,
with IntelliJ Community Edition 14.0.x I and some coworkers noticed that in the task list "older" tasks disappeared.

For each incoming bug (or ticket or feature-request, whatever) we create a new task (manually, unfortunately we do not have our bugtracking system connected).
These tasks can live some days or weeks, depending on priority and extent.

Now I noticed that many of previously created tasks are no longer available in the task drop down. The corresponding changelists to the missing tasks still exist.
Instead, below a horizontal separator there are items containing the comments of previous commits.
How can we make sure that long-lasting tasks are still available and do not disappear?

Thanks
Jan

Hello.

Just to clarify: were these older tasks already closed, or still open?

Thank you,
Alexander.

Hmm, they were not closed. As said, I am not connected to a bug tracking system, so I have only the possibility to a) remove the task (which I obviously did not do) or b) to work in other tasks for a longer time.
And after that longer time I now cannot find some previous tasks in the list of tasks.

Local tasks, not connected to a tracker can also be closed (Alt+Shift+W). But I've understood that your tasks were opened. Will forward the question to responsible developer.

Thank you,
Alexander.

It was simpler than I expected. Settings dialog / Tasks page / "Task history length" setting sets the number of tasks to remember. Please try to tune it.

Alexander.

Thank you. I tuned it up, though it was already set on a high value.
But I unchecked also "Save context on commit" so small commits that are connected to a task are not lined up in my task history.
If I still have problems I will come back to this ticket...so I hope not ;)
