What happened to Idea 9M1?

A few months ago right when M1 was announced, I downloaded M1 from the IntelliJ home page for my Dell. Then I blinked and the download was moved to EAP. Right when I was gonna grab a version for my Mac! It used to be that milestone releases were stable enough for daily dev work but now I don't know what the story is. There's no Mx build anymore? Just a bunch of EAP releases? I downloaded one of the EAPs a couple of weeks ago and had nothing but problems. Will there be an official M2 build? Also, I noticed plugin problems. Can we have an update that doesn't change the plugin API to avoid breaking a laundry list of available plugins? The bzr plugin causes crashes for me.

I can't speak for JetBrains, but IIRC on another thread it was said that there won't be another milestone.
The next release is going to be a Beta release.

For what is worth: I am using the latest Maia (IDEA 9) build for daily coding with almost no issues.
YMMV depending on the technology set that you actually use. For example the most
limiting bug for me is currently broken WebLogic integration.

Regarding plugin compatibility: Of course it would be nice not to change the API,
but from what I understand there have been massive changes to
- make the core API language agnostic
- improve performance
- implement background indexing
- ...
It is probably both too limiting and too costly to support the old plugin API in
a new major version of IDEA.

Same here. Using latest EAP build every day, without problems.

I have been using Maia EAP 10781 like 8-10 hours a day as we are in last few weeks of our development cycle.
It is working fine except I get lots of parse errors sometimes causing the right gutter not to show any warnings.
Also, some of my refactorings fail to work due to some parse errors.

I have been reporting them through the exception trace reporter. Hopefully the parser bugs are reduced in  next EAP build.
