Maia 10597 - OSX 10.5.7 - SVN problem
Hi all!
I am trying to update my projects from our repo, and Maia hangs (so far I have tried a few of them and no luck). I noticed Maia is creating thread dumps under the logs folder at an fast rate.
Attached is one of the logs where I can see there is an error when trying to connect to the SVN repo.
The color wheel will start spinning, and the Activity Monitor will show that Idea is not responding. At that point, I can only kill the application using brute force.
I have deleted the SVN cache just in case but no luck. I noticed this since the latests Maias and I can´t really use it, I need to go back to 8.1.4.
I guess not many of us are seeing this behaviour since I see no comments in this forum. It might be just me. Any hints are very welcome.
Thanks,
Gustavo.

Hello Gustavo,
I've filed a JIRA issue for this problem:
http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/IDEADEV-39010
The problem should go away if you delete the system\vcsCache directory under
the IntelliJ IDEA installation directory.

Just a little bit more insight.
After restarting Maia and cleaning up the Cache/vcs folder again, I open the project and attempt to refresh the list of changes at the server.
The threadDump creation rate under the log/threadDumps-20090724-140640-10597 folder jumped to almost one file per second. All files look pretty much the same. I guess we are in an infinit loop here.
Attached is one of those threadDump files again.
Thanks,
Gustavo.

Thanks Dmitri.
Just missed to say that Maia is really looking good to me.
Thanks again,
Gustavo.
Hello Dimitri,
Any ETA for this 39010?
Usually when I am coding, and I end up hitting it when I I click on an incoming list in the Changes view, (just a reminder Idea (10666 now) dies). The log folder start to grow with a thread dump for ever...
FYI, clearing the vcs cache workaround, sometimes works and sometimes it does not work for me.
Thanks in advance,
Gustavo.
Is this something that's on the radar? I'm still seeing the issue with 10781/win7/svn1.5 (IDEA locks up for 6 minutes when I make the mistake of going to the Changes -> Repository tab) 6 minutes is a reallllllly long time when you're in the middle of doing something
