Slow menu redraws on OS X #10762

I've noticed that Maia has visibly slow drawing of the application menus when selected.  When I click on a menu (for example, "File" or "Refactor"), there is a pause (sometimes a half a second to a few seconds), then I can see the all the menu items start out as "loading" and change one-by-one to their actual menu item text.  You can also observe the menu resizing to accomodate the longer text items.

I can reproduce this in build #10666 and #10762 on my Mac OS X 10.5.8, JDK 1.5.0_20.

Does anyone else observe this problem?

This problem is already present in the previous EAP version (10666).

Yes I've got this problem too, also Mac OS X 10.5.8, JDK 1.5.0_20.
I checked 9.0M1 and the issue does not occur there.
