Restart after Changes

I like the new functionality where you get a popup box to change your Xmx when you run out of memory.
However, just like when you add a new plugin, IDEA shuts down and you have to restart it yourself.
It would be better if IDEA restarted itself, just like eclipse does

Don't forget, that some people have holidays yet. Let them rest a little. Wait till 10.01

I thought this was fixed, because when I installed a plugin IDEA prompted me to restart.
However, when I ran out of memory today, the only option was Shutdown (or ignore)
If the functionality is available in IDEA to restart after modifying the plugins, it should be simple enough to apply that functionality when you run out of memory, right?

I wait anxiously for the next build

I'm using 8.1 on Mac OS X, and IDEA does not automatically restart when I change the plugin settings.  It's pretty lame.  At the very least, the dialog box should remind me in bold text that I need to manually start IDEA after IDEA shuts down.  How many times have I sat there waiting for IDEA to restart itself before I remember that IDEA doesn't do that.

Hello Kevin,

I'm using 8.1 on Mac OS X, and IDEA does not automatically restart
when I change the plugin settings. It's pretty lame. At the very
least, the dialog box should remind me in bold text that I need to
manually start IDEA after IDEA shuts down. How many times have I sat
there waiting for IDEA to restart itself before I remember that IDEA doesn't

do that.

At the moment IDEA can auto-restart itself on Windows, but not on Mac or
Linux. This shortcoming will be fixed in a subsequent update.
