Patching IDEA does not work Follow

I'm having the zip-bundle of IDEA #9684 running here on Vista Business, the
IDEA directory is writable from my user account. Clicking Help|Check for
Update shows the build 9712 is available. After downloading the 3MB patch
and automatically restarting IDEA it still reports itself as #9684 in the
title bar as well as in the Update Info dialog.
