Strange Menu Repetition in 9540

Got to love the irony of one of the repeated menu items being "Locate Duplicates...".

Please remove your menu customizations from File|settings|Menus and Toolbars.
And recreate them from scratch

Hello Anna,

I have been bugged by the same problem for a couple of weeks.
I can't remember that I customized anything in "Menus and Toolbars".
What I did was to define some external tools that are configured to be visible in Menu "Project Views".

I shutdown IDEA, deleted tools.xml in IDEA's config folder and started again.
Same problem.

Is there a way ro reset the Menu and Toolbar configuration?
I haven't found where this information is stored in the config folder and the GUI does not highlight changes in any way (like the error profile which highlights deviations from the default in blue).

try to shutdown IDEA. Delete USER_HOME/IntelliJ IDEA 8.~/config/options/customizations.xml.
Open IDEA and browse Menus and Toolbars tree.
