Data Source Mapping Not Working in IntelliJ 13

I'm testing upgrading my IntelliJ from 9.0.4 to 13.1.1. I am working with project files created in 9.0.4. One issue I can't get around at the moment is that when editing Hibernate facets the Data Source Mapping option doesn't appear anywhere on the Hibernate facet editing page. Is there some plugin or option I need to enable?

I'm running an evaluation license of IntelliJ Ultimate, I don't know if that results in some features being disabled. The help page titled 'Creating Session Factory'' certainly indicates there should be a 'DataSources Mapping' section.

I tried creating a new project from scratch, same problem.

Hello.

Please check Persistence tool window, there find your Hibernate facet, and use Assign Data Sources command in the context menu.

Hi Alexander,

Thank you for that, I can now map my hibernate configurations to my data sources. However your documentation clearly indicates that if I edit the Hibernate facet directly via the Project Structure dialog then I should see the mappings underneath the descriptors. Is that meant to be the case? It would be handy if it was so, as I do almost all of my project configuration via the Project Structure dialog.

Regards,

James

The documentation is just not yet updated.

I'll forward your thoughts about editing convenience to the developer.

Alexander.
