Very Slow "Show Intentions Actions"

I'm experiencing very long delays -- several minutes -- when I perform "Alt+Enter" for displaying intentions. Specifically, I was trying to add an import for the JDK's Arrays object. It seems to occur with each invocation though, and not specific to the import intention. Prior to temporarily freezing, the bottom bar which indicates background processes reads "Show Intentions Action".

As I'm not sure this is the result of something odd in my environment, or something in the EAP, I have not posted a bug report. I'm certainly willing to do so if necessary.

Is there something I might do locally to relieve myself of this problem? I had tried deleting some caches in my system directory to no avail.

Please let me know what, if any, further information I can provide. As a frequent intentions-user, I think I have to revert to the previous EAP version for pleasurable development.

Kind regards,

~ Keith

Your issue seems to be similar to
http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/IDEADEV-32099
You may capture performance snapshot and attach it to the request.

I'm seeing a lot of lag for IDEA to ask for imports using intentions and
also its taking a while to reparse code (add red highlights to bad code or
remove red highlights on correct code).

I'm trying to attach as many cpu snapshots highlight the problem as possible
in the issue Maxim linked.

I seem to be unable to find the "CPU Snapshot" button as described here: http://support.jetbrains.com/kb/entry.jspa?externalID=192&categoryID=5 . Has it been relocated?

The zip file generated upon selecting "Submit Performance report" is 16M large. Is this appropriate to post?

It should be in your toolbar. Make sure your idea.exe.vmoptions file has
this line in it:

-agentlib:yjpagent=disablej2ee,disablecounts,disablealloc,sessionname=IntelliJIDEA
