Enumeration class removed from default list of file templates?

Hi there,

I know it's almost 2009, but some of us are still stuck with java 1.4 for
some projects and the enumeration class workaround is still valuable there.
I noticed it's not available in the new context menu for the latest Diana
build (at least that's the one I tried with), is that intentional?

Could we have it available only when the language level is set to 1.4, instead
of having it removed completely?

Thx,
Andrei

P.S. I know I can copy a modified version from IDEA 7 (which I did), but
I still think it's good to have it available by default.

Java 1.4 was supported for 6 1/2 years! Let it die! It's very, very tired!

Rejoin the ranks of the living! Move on to Java 1.6 before 1.5 itself is left behind!!

:) I know. I brought that topic up several times so far, believe me. But,
while I continue to lobby for upgrades, I still have to deal with what's
officially accepted in the client's environment.

As a side note, though, IBM's 1.4 jdk is not there yet, AFAIK. And, for some
strange reason, WebSphere's still alive. Even the grandpa version, 6.0.2,
with its 1.4 jdk...

Oh well...

Best,
Andrei

Yes, it was removed intentionally. It would take significant extra effort
to make this available only under old JDK versions, and the feature itself
looks pretty much clunky, so we don't feel that it's worth bothering.

You can always add the template (or a similiar one) yourself.
