Bundled CMake times-out

Good day, I am attempting to use CLion 2016.1.3 with Cygwin 64-bit however it appears that the bundled CMake times out. All the appropriate Cygwin tools are installed. Information on both my system, the error message and a screenshot of the pertinent tool versions in Cygwin shell. I have uninstalled Cygwin and CLion, cleared Windows/User temporary files and erased CLions cache/settings, then reinstalled Cygwin followed by Clion, however this has not resolved the problem. I have also attempted to use Cygwins CMake but it is version 3.3.2 and CLion states that it requires at least 3.5.5.

Nelson,

do you experience the same problem when opening project in CLion?

Does CMake run correctly, when launched from Cygwin terminal? (<CLion folder>/bin/cmake_cygwin/bin/cmake.exe -G "Unix Makefiles" <path to your project>)

Good day and thank you for your time. I ran the appropriate command in a Cygwin terminal and it seems to just hang, so I tried installing the cmake package that Cygwin ships and that also hangs. It would appear that the problem I am having with CLion is not due to CLion itself but Cygwin/CMake.

Was googling around in the early hours and found this https://cygwin.com/ml/cygwin/2015-09/msg00357.html. Apparently Kaspersky has problems with Cygwin/CMake, and apparently this has not yet been resolved. Strange that it is insufficient to turn off Kaspersky (as I had tried), one must apparently completely uninstall it. It should be noted that I am using Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2015, which is not the latest.

EDIT: Tested with Kaspersky 2016 and it worked fine. Didn't try before-hand because anti-virus license offer came with my motherboard and I would need to pay for a new license to get 2016.
