8280 hung when loading complex project in MBP/Leopard

I was trying to open SpringSecurity 2.0 src after creating all Idea projects using mvn idea:idea.

7.0.3 opens the parent project with flying colors while 8280 makes cpu goes all the way up to 100% and never come back.

My regular memory setting is 512 MB. I gave it 1.2 GB and still same thing.
Not sure what else I can provide for you.

Running on a MBP, latest Leopard, 3 GB RAM.
