IDEA 7 vs NetBeans 6 Follow
Hi all,
I posted a few impressions of using NetBeans from the perspective of an
(avid) IDEA-user on:
http://techthoughts-iterator.blogspot.com
It's not a comparison, just impressions, but quite in favor of IDEA -
just if you're interested.
kind regards,
Messi

Sorry, this is a duplicate of

which I posted because I couldn't post here - newsreader problem, probably.
Sorry for the cross-posting.
kind regards,

The only advantages (I know) of Netbeans over IDEA are:
- Netbeans uses a docking framework
- it has a more state of the art GUI editor (baseline support)
Given Matisse is open source, I wonder if anyones looked at what it
would take to extract/modify/wrap it to plugin into IntelliJ as a
plugin?

Try to extract the docking framework and you will have to integrate half of
Netbeans into your application.
Why not shock the world and instead of rewritting your IDE and basing
it on Eclipse base it on the Netbeans platform . On 2008-02-22 01:19:10 +1300, Tom ]]> said:
