Can't delete P4 changelist that doesn't really exist anyway

I have a changelist that I can't seem to delete (see attached picture): the
highlighted CL (Agency Payment Wizard - Adding etc...)
can't be deleted. Clicking DEL doesn't work and the icon is disabled.
Also, according to P4, this CL doesn't even exist. I tried moving
a file into the CL and then out, but I still can't delete it. It's almost
like another "default" CL, but there's already a default CL.

Is there some file somewhere that IDEA is caching this information? I'd like
to get rid of it.

You're seeing a changelist that was generated by the ChangesBar plugin
due to a conflict... it would usually be automatically deleted when the
files it contained were either committed or moved out of the changelist
into another... but if they were committed outside of IDEA then the
changelist could persist.

You should be able to get rid of it by moving a file into it and then
back out to its original changelist, as long as you still have the
ChangesBar plugin installed. You said you tried this though, do you
still have the plugin installed?

If all else fails, I think it will be in the IWS somewhere.

I will add checking for empty conflict changelists to the next version I
release.

Cheers,
N.

ps. Dmitry, if you read this, didn't you guys add some OpenAPI to
prevent this situation happening in 7.0? Can you remind me what it is so
I can hook into it... thanks!

No, we wanted to do this, but didn't have time to do it before 7.0. Hopefully
we'll provide such an API in 8.0.

No, I uninstalled the plugin because it was making too many of these types
of changelists and that annoyance was outweighing the benefits.

I found it in the .iws and deleted it, so thanks for the pointer.

Sorry this behaviour annoyed you so much - hopefully the next version
will have dealt with these problems a bit better, and it would be great
if you would forgive the plugin enough to try it and let me know whether
your experience is improved.

I'll let you know when it's released (probably tomorrow).

Cheers,
N.

Hi Ted,

The new version of Changes Bar is available, and it should behave a lot
better. Please let me know what you think if you do manage to try it.

Cheers,
N.
