Choosing a jar file....

When I add a jar file to a directory (from a terminal window ) and then I want do add this jar file as a module depedency, it never shows up in the file chooser dialog box. To see the new file, I always have to press the Synchronize button. After synchronising, I can see and choose the new jar file...

Is this by design or?

(This is under Linux and build 7330, but all RC releases has been the same... No such "problem" under IDEA 6)

This is definitely a bug.
It may be the same as http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/IDEA-13878
It may also be a specific issue unrelated to that, so you could also file a new Jira issue yourself.

This is a bug, and it'll be fixed in next RC. This is a separate issue from
the one about synchronizing files opened in editors.

Too bad.
I mean, great that this bug is going to be fixed.
Too bad, that it did not have the same root cause as the jira issue.
When the next RC is out I hope to find the time to do some more testing and maybe come up with a way to reproduce the issue.
